Make a Thanksgiving Place Card from a Water Bottle

Make a Thanksgiving Place Card from a Water Bottle

Here is a quick and easy way to make a place card and a little treat for each guest at the Thanksgiving table. Try altering a regular water bottle. Each bottle is filled with the receiver's favourite chocolate bar, the poem from the September Stamp of the Month, sayings from the September Stamp of the month, and some scrap paper "confetti".

How did I get all of that inside? Just cut around the bottle leaving about 1/3 still attached. Lift the top section of the bottle -dry it out- then fill with whatever you like. I just used some scotch tape to tape it back together when filled as the bottle is wrapped with other paper and that hides the cut you have made. When the plastic is cut it is fairly sharp so assist children with they are taking it apart.

Decorating the Bottle
I used B&T and cardstock to wrap around the bottles. Stamped images of leaves came from the Autumn Splendor stamp set(D1181), sponging and stippling on the maple leafs from the Autumn Leaves (Z1303) and a pumpkin punch out were clustered to decorate the name frame. The top of the bottle is covered with one of the small leaves which is also sponged. Autumn Terracotta, Goldrush, Cocoa and Barn Red were the colours used. The frames for individual names and to hold the "Happy Thanksgiving" are on the October Stamp of the Month - Annotations.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
