Sixty for me felt like it should be an important birthday having seen some of my school mates and friends not make it to this great age. I really wanted to celebrate and that I did! I had a wonderful party Saturday night hosted by my family. Ken, Jeff, Emily, Laura and Nick put together a lovely 60th birthday party for me. It was such fun to celebrate with friends and family. The food was delicious – barbequed chicken souvlaki, surprise dip, meatballs, quiche, spanikopita, mini quiche, fruit and veggies topped off with a delicious cake and Cathy’s incredible butter tarts. Emily organized a game of decade Blurt and my sister Lorraine and friend Pat led the group with the most correct answers about my life. It was fun!

I am blessed in so many ways and try to celebrate my blessings every day. First, my husband Ken is and always has been my number one supporter and fan. My children Jeff and Emily are the treasures that every mother prays their children will become as adults. They are special people who bring joy and happiness along with them in everything they do. They worked very hard on this party from the invitations to the clean up. Their partners Nick and Laura just pitched in - they are amazing and have become a wonderful part of our family. I know my dear friends Cathy and Ian were behind the scenes in a lot of the planning and preparation. Thank you all for a wonderful celebration and time together. To my friends and family many who travelled the distance to join us last night thanks for being a part of my 60th birthday celebration. I am looking forward to the Punta Cana celebration later in November.

I look forward to the next decade along with you and everything it has to offer!
